I. Protection of Personal Data
The services of Localking products will not obtain user's data without their knowledge. Users can choose whether to provide their personal data, however, if the provided data is insufficient or inaccurate, it may be impossible to offer a full service, and may be difficult to sign up.
To provide you with better services, we will collect, process, and use your personal data provided to us in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act. In accordance with Article 8 of Personal Data Protection Act, we hereby inform you of the following matters:
1) Collection and Use of Personal Data
When you register as members of Localking, we will ask you to provide personal data, including your name/nickname, phone number, email address, and other relevant data. After becoming a member, you can log in to access services of Localking. If you log in due to your participation in online activities or internet surveys organized by Localking, member’s personal data, including your name, nickname, phone number, email address, and other relevant data, will be directly provided by the member databank. If additional information is required for such activities, please provide the necessary details. Supplementary data is also subject to the protection of Privacy Policy.
Depending on the services offered by Localking products, we may collect personal data from users, includes, but not limited to, the following:
A. Online Activities and Internet Surveys
When you participate in online activities or internet surveys, we may ask you to provide your name, phone number, email, and other relevant information.
B. Membership Registration
When you register as members on Localking website, we will ask you to provide personal data, including your name, nickname, address, phone number, email address, and other relevant information.
C. Marketing Activities
The services on the website may require collaboration with other service partners (e.g., sending or redeeming coupons, organizing draws, sending giveaways, providing any commodities or services, notifications, etc.). If necessary, we may provide your personal data to these partner companies.
D. Privacy and Usage of Personal Data
As you release anything through Localking products, it means that you agree to allow Localking to use your information, and other users will be able to view it and link to parts of your public member profile.
E. Others
In addition to the above, we also reserve relevant records generated by the server when you browse the internet or look up information online, including IP address, GPS location, usage time, browser, browser history, etc. We will not and cannot associate these records with individuals. The data is only for statistical analysis of data management and internet usage, it does not involve the analysis of individual users. Please note that other services linked from Localking may also collect your personal data. For the information you offer, these linked services have their own privacy policies, and their data processing measures do not apply to Localking's privacy policy. We are not responsible for any joint liability for them.
2) Duration and Region of Use
A. From the time becoming a member of Localking (hereinafter referred to as "member"), we will use the data members provide until you request to stop using it or until Localking ceases to provide services.
B. Your personal data will be used within the region where Localking operates.
3) Users and Methods of Utilization
A. To provide various services, we shall use personal data only within the necessary scope of the specific purpose of collection.
B. In order to fulfill the purposes of the contract, we will provide relevant data to designated shops/stores or outsourcing agency within Taiwan and the region of service usage.
C. The use of personal data shall be only on the following bases:
a. Member Data
The information you provided when joining as a member, including your name, nickname, phone number, email address, and other necessary data, will be used for mobile SMS verification by Localking system. It will also be used for analyzing your behavior within the service, providing detailed information for future member needs, and serving as a basis for designing member activities.
b. Newsletter Subscription
The data you provide when subscribing newsletters will be used only for sending newsletters and analyzing subscriber data. If you selected to subscribe newsletters or other e-journals during membership registration, you will receive relevant information. If you wish to unsubscribe, you can call customer service (Phone Number: 02-23630582) to cancel your subscription.
c. Online Activities and Surveys
Personal data you provide when participating in online activities or surveys, such as participant names, contact phone numbers, and email addresses, will only be used as a basis for your participation in drawings. The e-mail addresses provided by forward letters for actions such as recommending friends, will be destroyed after the activities end. Other data will be used for overall participant behavior analysis by commercial or academic organizations and will not be subject to individual analysis.
d. Statistics and Analysis
Localking’s services will periodically conduct overall member behavior analysis and statistics based on the information you provided when joining as a member and the records generated by the server. Individual behavior analysis will not be conducted.
4) Exercise of Member Rights
A. Members have the legal right to request Localking in writing to exercise their rights to delete their personal data.
B. If a member does not meet the application process or legal requirements, Localking has legal obligation to preserve the data. Except the related link other than Localking’s services, or the personnel or individual doesn’t be committed nor involved in management, or otherwise expressly agreed by the Articles.
C. If a member requests the deletion of their member data from our company, they should complete the application form and personally submit it. Localking may request the member to provide identification documents that can be verified. If someone else is on behalf of the member, they must provide a letter of authorization and identification documents for both the member and the representative.
5) Data Storage and Preservation Method
Member's personal data is securely stored in Localking's database system. Moreover, any individual must obtain and use data within the regulations of data authorization management established by Kingwaytek. Those who aren’t authorized are not allowed and cannot access data through the authorization control system.
II. Privacy Protection
With the consent of the member, personal data provided within Localking's related services will only be used within Localking’s products and the service related to the purpose of this regulation, except as pre-explained or required by relevant laws and regulations. Your provided personal data will not be arbitrarily transferred to third parties or used for other purposes.
1) Information Security Measures
Regarding your personal data, Localking’s website, in accordance with relevant laws, will assign specialist to implement security measures using reasonable technologies and procedures. These measures are put in place to prevent theft, tamper, destruction, loss, or disclosure of personal data. Regular and irregular audits of file management will also be conducted.
2) Localking's Policy on Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties
Regarding the personal data you provide during the membership period, Localking will not disclose it to third parties except in the following circumstances:
A. With your consent, Localking may share your data with third parties when cooperating with them to provide you with other services or promotional activities. You have the choice to participate in such activities, and Localking will provide a full description of the activity.
B. When the Judiciary requires or other legal regulations ask to disclose your personal data, Localking will cooperate within reasonable scope to protect your rights and interests.
C. In cases where the rights and interests of members or third parties may be harmed or obstructed, or if someone violates the membership terms, or for other reasons to prevent harm, Localking may disclose the user's personal data to identify the users.
D. Except for the above situations, if Localking believes in good faith that disclosure is required by law or for the purpose of maintaining and improving products, services, or other purposes, Localking may also disclose or access user's personal data.
3) Consumer Self-Protection
A. Localking will not proactively send emails or request user’s password through other means. Only by logging in the correct password you can update or view your personal data. Please keep your account and password properly and do not disclose them to others easily.
B. When you have finished using a computer, please remember to log out of your account.
4) Modification of Privacy Policy
A. Localking adheres to legally required privacy policies, and any amendments will be announced on the website or app. Please pay close attention to these announcements to protect your personal rights. Localking will actively inform you of relevant modifications and ensure that you have read, understood, and agreed to the contents of the modified or revised privacy policy.
B. If you do not agree with the content of the privacy policy, or if your country or area excludes all or parts of the privacy policy, please immediately cease to use Localking's related services.
